Meeting the Challenges of Power Load Growth in Data Centers

The presentation will discuss some new ideas regarding the challenges to growth in data centers. Computer technology has grown beyond belief but the support technologies in power and air support have some "catching up" to do. The main focus is on ways to deal with keeping pace with power protection. Specific examples of power and air growth in data centers will be offered and some new and improved ways to couple the growth with better performance of the support systems and increased reliability will be presented.

Our next meeting will be on Friday, May 21, 2010, at the Peak 10 Data Center in Brentwood, TN. S&C Electric has graciously offered to provide lunch for meeting attendees, so please pre-register by sending an email to Scott Milliken at Vanderbilt University. Please RSVP no later than Friday, May 14, 2010. Peak 10 is located in the Cool Springs Galleria area, in the old Service Merchandise Headquarters building at 7100 Commerce Way, Brentwood, TN 37027.
